When I first saw Monad $MON, I said it just looks like "the next shiny new thing" before I even did much research.
After a week, I've completely changed my tune.
Monad is a high performance, highly scalable, EVM compatible L1 that focuses on extreme throughput without sacrificing decentralization or security.
It's positioned to be the best of what ETH and SOL deliver, without the downside.
Advantages over $ETH:
- Targets 10,000 TPS, with 1000x faster processing for dApps w/out the need for a layer 2.
- 400ms block times/ 800ms finality, opposed to 12-second blocks and 12-15 minute finality for ETH
- Near zero gas fees
- EVM compatible, using ETH language yet scaled. ETH devs can directly port dApps over to Monad
- Leverages Ethereum's $100B+ TVL and developer base for instant liquidity/composability; supports L2s on top of Monad for further scaling.
Advantages over $SOL
- Can match Solana's TPS with lower latency and no bottlenecks or downtime (a known problem for Solana)
- Faster finality, fewer network halts
- Similar transaction fees, but no need for wrapped assets or code rewrites.
- Native EVM support, providing Solana's speed with Ethereum's tooling
- Less centralization risks than you would see from Solana's Proof-of-History (PoH) reliance.
- Easier cross-chain bridges to Ethereum/Solana
Although Monad is only 5 days into mainnet, its potential as an industry disruptor is immense.
This is why I'm trying to be early, not only investing in $MON but buying early projects there. As many of you know, I've already bought a few memes and will look for good utility plays.

So yeah, I went hard into @PepeOn_Monad as my fist meme bought in chain. Like the other "firsts" on each chain, the potential upside is huge. If it catches on, this could be a $25m, $50m or even a $200m runner.
