Despite all the hype around BTC, I think it will top out around $150K–$200K, while ETH will massively outperform it over the next year or two, potentially reaching $10,000–$20,000, as it's still largely considered to be a contrarian play.
The law of large numbers and structural selling will work against BTC, while institutional attention shifts toward ETH as a way to diversify within the crypto asset class.
ETH remains the only crypto asset with regulatory clarity and ETF availability comparable to BTC, and it's still the second largest crypto asset by market cap.
ETH will also continue drawing attention as more industry leaders adopt it as their primary infrastructure for deploying stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets. This trend is expected to pick up steam later this year and see explosive growth in 2026, as companies like Coinbase, Robinhood, BlackRock, Visa, Sony, and Ant Digital (Alibaba’s subsidiary) move to establish a strong presence in the onchain economy.

ETH is the most hated asset in crypto, but this is what the haters are not telling you about:
1. Two of the largest and most trusted crypto exchanges in the world, Coinbase and Kraken, are operating their own Ethereum L2s.
2. The world's largest asset manager, BlackRock, is running its own stablecoin almost exclusively on Ethereum.
3. One of the biggest payment processors in the world, Visa, is developing a tokenization platform on Ethereum.
