Recent hot topics I've been following:
"@defidotapp": TGE is coming soon. If you haven't participated yet, make sure to join. The contract function is also going up. Going long 1WU requires 4.5U, which is much lower than other platforms.
"@SuccinctLabs": The second phase is coming out. Writing related tweets with over ten thousand views can earn you a role/code. This is a way to get everyone to promote. I'm not sure if my aggregated tweets count.
"@Somnia_Network": Don't get too FOMO. Actually, their testnet currently doesn't have much in the ecosystem. There are only a few things to interact with. I feel that after the monthly rewards are distributed, there will be fewer people in the Chinese community.
"@0G_labs": V3, I don't know how much everyone has done. Anyway, I started working on it after I came back from my trip.
"@Sidekick_Labs": I still haven't done a live broadcast. I got the host code before and plan to check it out after May Day.
"@AbstractChain": Just play it. I compared the game hotspots in the RON ecosystem, and there are quite a few differences compared to Abs.
Game section:
"@b3k_games": One of the only two games in Japan, you can play it tomorrow. I'll check it out.
"@jungle_xyz": Announced withdrawal from Web3 to focus on developing games into free mobile games. Last year it was at a high of 4 SOL, now it's 0.1 SOL, which is quite lamentable.
"@spacepaws_": A very early match-3 game. Since it's on the SUI chain and has won a hackathon award, everyone can pay attention to it.
Someone suggested I update the game section content regularly, but I personally feel that not many people are watching games in the market now. I want to transition to other tracks, but what should I do? Is there any teacher to share experience?
"Promoter" & "Advocate"
A few days ago, @0xWenMoon mentioned @KaitoAI's new algorithm.
It is said that the new algorithm makes becoming an advocate more beneficial for Yaps' growth.
At first glance, they seem similar, but in reality, there are significant differences and clear distinctions:
➣ Definition and Role Positioning:
Promoter: Individuals whose primary goal is to drive exposure and growth for a project, product, or service. They focus on spreading, marketing, and acquiring users, often with incentives (e.g., rewards from projects or sponsors).
Advocate: More focused on spreading trust and values, they are supporters and loyal users of a project. They genuinely believe in the project's philosophy and voluntarily share and promote these ideas, with a strong sense of community belonging and mission.
➣ Purpose and Motivation:
Promoter:
The goal is to increase the project's visibility and exposure.
Often tied to specific KPIs and rewards (e.g., monthly collaborations with exchanges/projects).
Tweets may be paid, falling under marketing or PR activities.
Advocate:
The purpose is to spread and promote the project's philosophy.
Motivation stems more from a love for the community spirit.
Actions are mostly spontaneous and ongoing, often without direct financial gain.
➣ Impact on the Project/Community:
Promoter:
Brings quick traffic and attention, helping the project gain market exposure in the short term.
Relies on channels and resources, leading to faster development.
Advocate:
Cultivates a loyal user base and an organic community culture.
Supports the healthy growth of the project's ecosystem in the long term.
Enhances the project's decentralization and autonomy.
➣ For the Project: Both are indispensable. Promoters increase breadth by bringing "traffic," while advocates add depth by building "trust." Together, they complement each other to create a broad, deep, healthy, and sustainable Web3 ecosystem.
➣ For Individuals: Advocates bear far greater responsibility than promoters. Choosing 1-2 projects to become an advocate—such as a Chinese-speaking ambassador, leader, or MOD—accompanying the community's growth will bring a greater sense of accomplishment.
Soul torture: Do you want to become an advocate?
