BRC-20, Bitcoin blok zinciri üzerinde çalışmak üzere geliştirilen deneysel bir token standardıdır. Ethereum’daki ERC-20 standardına benzer şekilde, BRC-20 de geliştiricilerin Bitcoin ağı üzerinde token üretmesine, göndermesine ve almasına olanak tanır.

BRC-20 token’ları, Bitcoin ağına Ordinals protokolü sayesinde entegre edilir. Bu protokol, Bitcoin’in her bir satoshisi (en küçük birimi) üzerine veri yazmayı mümkün kılar. Böylece akıllı sözleşme altyapısı olmadan, Bitcoin ağı üzerinde token yaratımı ve transferi yapılabilir.
