How do I access Convert?
On the web
Log in to your OKX TR account on tr.okx.com, and select Convert
Select convert on the navigation bar
Select the crypto or fiat currency you would like to Convert from / to
Convert crypto to fiat currency
Enter the amount and select Preview to check the order details
Select Confirm to complete your order
On the app
Log in to your OKX TR account
Open Convert
Select Convert from the available options in the dropdown menu
Select the crypto you want to convert and the crypto you want to receive
Enter the amount
Review the quote and the amount you’ll receive
Confirm the conversion before the quote expires
Select Convert to complete the conversion
Open the order details to check the completed result
Note:
You can select Limit to set the price you want during convert. This means that your order will only be executed when the crypto reaches your limit price.
Only supported crypto and fiat currency for Convert will be shown.
The conversion rate is updated every 10 seconds to ensure you are getting the most accurate rate.
FAQ
Why did I receive less than I expected when I converted crypto?
The amount you receive is based on the quote available when you confirm the conversion. The result may reflect the quoted conversion price, an applicable spread, and current market conditions.
Before confirming, review the final amount shown in the preview. After completion, compare the confirmed quote and amount received in the order details.
Why is my Portfolio value lower than the amount I converted?
The completed conversion amount and the current Portfolio value are different things. The order details show the amount completed at the confirmed quote. Portfolio shows the current estimated value of your assets using the latest market price.
Check the order details first to confirm the completed amount, then compare it with the current Portfolio value.
Will I get the same quote if I cancel, restart, or let a Convert quote expire?
No. Convert uses real-time quotes. If you cancel, restart, or let a quote expire, the next quote may be different because of market-price movement, liquidity, or an applicable spread.
Review the new amount before confirming the conversion.
Why can’t I convert a specific crypto?
A crypto may be unavailable for Convert because of product availability, your account market, current risk-control requirements, or your trading permission settings.
Use the assets currently displayed in Convert. If an asset isn't shown, it's not available for that conversion.
Why does Convert say that the crypto/trading pair is restricted?
Your trading permissions may restrict the selected crypto, so it cannot be converted.On the OKX website, remove the restriction for the token in Security > Trading permissions > Crypto, then try again.
What should I do if a Convert order fails?
Review the error shown in Convert and check whether the crypto or trading pair is restricted in your trading permission settings.
If the quote expired, request a new quote and review it before confirming. If the issue is account-specific or continues after the displayed restriction is removed, contact support with the time, assets, amount, and screenshot of the error.
What is the difference between a completed order amount and my current Portfolio value?
The order details show the completed transaction result: the amount paid, sold, or converted; the amount received; the confirmed quote; and any separately listed fee.
Portfolio shows your current balances and the estimated value of your assets. Portfolio value can change after an order is completed, but this doesn't change the historical order result.
What should I do if the completed amount does not match the quote I confirmed?
First, confirm that the order status is Completed. Compare the confirmed quote, amount received, and any separately listed fee in the order details.
If the completed result still doesn't match the quote you confirmed, contact support with the order ID, order time, product, assets, and amount.
Can I use my cash or cash balance in Convert?
Convert is for exchanging eligible crypto assets held in your Trading account. If you want to use a cash or cash balance, such as TRY, to buy crypto, use Buy crypto instead. Available cash currencies and crypto may vary by account market.
