About Adventure Gold
AGLD is a community-developed, open-source governance token for the original Loot (for Adventures) project, which has brought popularity to text-based adventure gear NFTs. The ticker symbol of this ERC-20 token, which operates on the Ethereum blockchain, is AGLD.
The token was initially given out for free to Loot NFT holders, with each bag owner able to claim 10,000 AGLD tokens. The intention, as outlined by AGLD developer Will Papper, is for the token to be used by the community in any way it deems fit, from voting on governance decisions to new mints for projects that build on Loot and adopt AGLD.
The Loot (for Adventurers) project represents a collection of 8,000 NFTs portraying bags of gear. Anyone could claim these bags, each of which contains the names of randomized items, by paying gas fees on the Ethereum network.
