The Bera is sick. The Bera has cancer.
But cancer can be cut out. The Bera can heal.
The tumor thinks it deserves to live as part of the organism. Even if it has to kill the whole to survive. It just doesn't realize it dies too. The tumor is selfish and lives for itself.
