VIBES: Emotions, can they be traded?
Recently, various big shots have been talking about VIBES. I had an early experience with it, currently at 358 points, ranked 18 (needs to be released). To start with the conclusion: this thing is not an exchange, not SocialFi, and definitely not some flashy air coin project, but rather a "market for emotional derivatives." You heard it right, VIBES really turns "market sentiment" into a tradable asset.
The logic is simple: the ups and downs of the crypto market rely not on fundamentals, but on narratives, emotions, and FOMO. VIBES captures these invisible and intangible "emotions" in real-time using AI to scrape Twitter, memes, comments, and FUD, quantifying them into the VIBES Index. Everyone trades long or short based on this index, betting on human nature.
The gameplay is quite new: you can bet on Elon Musk's popularity, ETH topics, or even the U.S. elections. If a certain hot topic suddenly explodes, the index skyrockets, and you can reap the rewards. Conversely, if the sentiment cools down, you can profit from shorting as well.
