Thoughts on Spotlight (expand posted; y’all know I use too many words):
Spotlight is not just one thing. It’s not about farming XP or rewards by doing the same old stuff. By design, it’s meant to evolve, change and challenge our community. Show up, be part of the conversation, activate and invest in this ecosystem to win. Anyone looking to just log on, click a few buttons, and get rewards can grab their shit and go.
“Season” might not the right term anyway since the format will be updated and changed to fit the activation. And the content will change too. Sometimes it will be builders that will be in the spotlight, other times it will be apps, it may even extend to IRL activations and the metaverse.
The first “Season” showed the horsepower and heart of our chain, with a long season that built up dozens of communities that continue to thrive today.
The second “Season” is shorter and shows the ingenuity and personality of our chain. It’s intended to amplify one of the most prolific builders on ApeChain, who continues to bring the heat.
“Season” 3 and beyond will come at a faster pace, focus the energy of our ecosystem, and may even overlap (e.g. short season happening the same time as extended seasons). Plus, get ready for the tournament of champions. What’s the point of winning if you don’t have a WWE-style belt to prove you’re the best?
