7 years in crypto starting with $0 in my pocket. I made $3M+, but missed 100x more because of costly mistakes. I’m sharing the worst ones so you can skip the pain and win 100 times faster👇🧵

7 years deep in crypto I have seen it all from brutal crashes (Ftx, Luna, Gala and etc.) to life-changing wins (Ico meta,Huge airdrops,Crazy bullrun, Altseasons and ofc memes) If I knew these lessons earlier I could have avoided rugs scams and bad exits This is the rawest thread I have ever written every mistake that hurt and what it taught me 🧵
1.Manage your risk before entering any trade Jumping in blindly can turn a x2 into a total loss. I once held a losing position for weeks (it was $ETH long) even though I had found a better setup that ended up printing big gains. But I didn’t make the switch Never put most of your funds into high-risk plays. Only use what you’re truly willing to lose.
2. Don't be afraid to sell or cut your loses While you hold onto a token that is falling, others are making money They weren't afraid to sell an unprofitable asset and move on to a new meta Most users are afraid to act, the market is driven by fear
3. Never rely on trust Sometimes crypto friends are scammers waiting for the right moment to take your money Once, I decided to help my homie I had known for a long time by lending him my wallet for his needs. Some time later, I decided to replenish my wallet, but it turned out that all the funds had been transferred to another wallet. Always be careful and think twice before sharing personal information.
4. Don't keep your funds in one place It is very important to store your funds and distribute them correctly, and not always 100% in crypto Recently, there has been an increase in CEX hacks, where people are losing BILLIONS I split my funds like this: 10% on Binance for quick trades, 50% in wallets and DeFi protocols, and 40% in cold storage for long-term holds.
5. Give up gambling. Web3 projects are designed to trigger excitement and keep you chasing wins. I lost over $250K on memecoins and perps because I let the thrill take over. In the end the only ones who win are the project and its team.
6. Cold wallet ≠ Safe Cold wallets are often touted as a guarantee of security, but as it turns out, this is not the case. A trader lost $6.5 million after purchasing a discounted cold wallet through the Chinese market. The wallet was compromised, and the private key was leaked when it was created. Almost all “cheap” cold wallets on the internet are counterfeit. Therefore, always choose proven products and don't be tempted by cheap prices.
7. The new meta won't last forever New trends are constantly popping up on the market, riding the hype wave Like it was with NFTs, GameFi, and now memecoins. It's important to be the first to jump on board Otherwise, you might end up being exit liquidity for other users
8. The best time to act is during a bear market. While most people chase gains in a bull run, experienced investors start accumulating when prices are low. This is when the most useful and promising projects quietly enter the market.
