Bergen County, New Jersey, will put $240 billion of real estate title deeds on-chain, using the Avalanche network

PANews reported on May 28 that according to CoinDesk, Bergen County, New Jersey, USA, will cooperate with blockchain company Balcony to migrate 370,000 real estate title deeds (worth about $240 billion) to the Avalanche blockchain in the next five years to build a searchable and tamper-proof registration system. The project is currently the largest real estate tokenization program in the United States, covering 70 municipalities and about 1 million residents, and aims to improve efficiency, reduce fraud, increase taxes, and support the trend of assets on the chain. It is expected that the title deed processing time will be reduced by 90%.
