AI + Crypto in practice

AI + Crypto in practice

For a long time, I have been very cautious about the so-called blockchain technology combined with practical applications.

I've made my point of view clear in my articles:

In my opinion, a series of so-called applications such as using blockchain to trace the origin of Moutai and transforming the XX industry with blockchain are all pseudo needs.

I even had this analogy in an earlier article:

The application of the crypto ecosystem is like the application on Mars, and our current application is the application on Earth. Mars and Earth are fundamentally two completely different ecosystems, how can two completely different ecosystems be "combined" together?

Until the advent of artificial intelligence, more precisely the emergence of AI Agents, I think it is entirely possible for these two ecosystems to be combined now, and the link of this combination is AI Agents.

I once introduced the case of Coinbase using BYTE, an AI agent, to help users make on-chain payments and place orders to buy food. In Coinbase's latest case, BYTE not only helped users realize stablecoin payments, but later judged users' ordering habits based on the user data it had and intelligently reminded users that it was time to eat.

In addition, Shopify, a well-known overseas e-commerce platform, has also confirmed that it will cooperate with Coinbase to vigorously promote stablecoin payments, and give certain discounts to users who use USDC to pay to attract consumers.

In addition, traditional online and offline retail platforms Amazon and Walmart are also rumored to be exploring the issuance of their stablecoins.

On the one hand, the channel of stablecoin payment is being rolled out in the United States on a large scale, and on the other hand, the exploration of AI Agents combined with stablecoin payment is also advancing rapidly.

According to this progress, the following scenarios can emerge in the future:

When the AI agent used by the user has enough data, it can completely outline the user's daily habits, such as grasping the user's consumption habits, regularly reminding the user to eat three meals, book transportation for the user after work, and go directly to Shopify, Amazon, Walmart ...... shopping.

When the user confirms these reminders, the AI Agent directly uses the stablecoin to make the payment on the blockchain, completely blocking the payment link and behavior from the user.

Furthermore, in the future, if our income is paid with stablecoins, the stablecoins can be directly deposited into our crypto wallet managed by AI Agent, and AI Agent can directly use the stablecoins in this wallet for all daily consumption.

Perhaps two generations from now, our descendants will not even be able to hear of the act of paying, just as today's post-2010 children are even less likely to have paper money.

AI Agent completely "hides" the cumbersome details and complex technologies such as stablecoins, blockchain, and payments, or AI Agents completely eliminates the threshold for humans to use encryption technology.

In addition to Coinbase, other tech giants in the United States are also exploring a lot in these areas, and Coinbase is only temporarily ahead of the curve in this area.

Seeing the progress of Coinbase, one can't help but think of Binance and OK. Even though they are both exchanges, they have all developed their own wallets. However, after the emergence of AI Agents, there is a clear difference in the development direction of the three.

Coinbase has clearly seized the trend of AI Agents and is vigorously exploring the application and model of AI + Crypto in real life, but Binance and OK seem to be still going down the old path and still focus on trading and trading users, and do not seem to focus on integrating AI Agents into their own applications as Coinbase does.

For us, while we can't directly experience the scenarios that have been implemented on Coinbase, keeping an eye on the development of these applications on Coinbase is a good reference for judging the future direction of AI + Crypto.
