This Cardano block slowdown issue wasn’t a full network outage, but it could have turned into something much more serious. I think the teams’ quick response and the SPOs’ fast actions really made a big difference.
I hope this incident really drives home the urgent need for client diversity and rigorous pre-release testing.
The Cardano Stake Pool Operators are showing strength today.
Coming together quickly in the face of never-before-seen issues and simply doing their work & resolving them.

No software is perfect, but Cardano was built in a way that even on days like this, the network keeps running.
It simply slows down temporarily due to a bug in some of the Cardano Node versions and then Stake Pools update, to get back to the previous speed.
