Content Types that work
Impressions vs Engagement
The post with the most impressions in the past 3 months was actually the @KASTcard VIP pickup at Token. This built off the 'Singapore I am In You' trend, as well as highlighting a promotion that people wanted. (s/o @zacglov3r)
The perfect combo of fomo and trending content.
However, the post with the most engagement has been my job announcement. Nobody wants ai generated content, be real, be vulnerable, share insights, and people will engage. It's why IRL meetups are still super important.
Over 3 months, I've racked up 800,000 impressions. The secret is to keep posting.
What I'm doing next?
I'm still working on hitting the 5m impressions needed for monetization. I'm going to increase my replies as any one reply can get thousands of impressions. I'll be sharing more of my replyguy journey (watch @MedusaOnchain, her account growth has been impressive!)
Final tip: Leave thoughts on viral posts for impressions. Make your own content for engagement.

Here’s how I hacked X during Token and KBW
I gained 1000 new followers, hit 500k impressions, and 39000 engagements
1. Take advantage of the pre-event trending boost.
Every day before KBW I would post photos of Korea from previous years, especially food which people would bookmark to visit later. This is important, bookmarks are a signal to the algo god that your post has value, meaning itll be shared to more viewers. (some cin lore: I used to be a food blogger)
I kept pre-event posts simple with a phrase I could rinse and repeat: ‘You only need 2 reasons to go to Korea’
2. The big post
After rallying up engagement, THEN I launched the big post: announcing my new role at @plumenetwork. I knew this would get high engagement so I saved it for a day before KBW and Token. Separately it optimized my time while in KR and SG, when we meet, where I now work is top of mind. On top of this, job postings have been trending, check out @vohvohh and @AlexOnchain on how they made their job announcements viral which in turn helps boost the company’s reach.
3. Every day in Korea and Singapore would highlight Plume through our events, merch, or my own thoughts on the conferences. keep building off the big post.
4. I also attended events to check out campaigns like @KASTcard, @sophon, and of course @pudgypenguins. After every event make sure to do a mini recap and tag the organizers ON THE DAY. Attention expires fast during conference szn.
TIP: The current algo values RT and Bookmarks so create posts where people can get something out of it.
5. Finally, x has definitely gravitated towards visuals. If you’re seeing more girls on the timeline, it’s not a coincidence. Use photos/videos to stop the scroll.
Bookmark this to hack your next conference. argentina or breakpoint abudhabi anyone?
