A new AI-driven DeFi experiment, the first supported project @talos_is Onchain Labs
What is Onchain Labs' strategic positioning?
Onchain Labs is a new initiative launched by @OffchainLabs in partnership with the @arbitrum Foundation, with a clear goal: to drive innovation and explosion in the Arbitrum application layer.
In the past few years, Arbitrum has made great progress at the infrastructure level, including the launch of the Orbit architecture, the introduction of Stylus to support Rust development, and the deployment of ZK technology, but there is still a lot of potential for a truly "user-oriented" product layer ecosystem.
What problem is Talos trying to solve?
The core of DeFi is trustless management of assets and distributed collaboration, but as the market develops, DeFi faces three long-term bottlenecks:
1️⃣ Single income model: over-reliance on liquidity mining, lack of intelligent asset allocation strategy
2️⃣ Inefficient governance: The traditional DAO model is slow to make decisions, making it difficult to capture market opportunities
3️⃣ Incentive mismatch: short-term speculation dominates and there is a lack of sustainable coordination mechanisms
Talos is designed with these three goals in mind:
1. Use AI+TEE technology for dynamic fund management to achieve income optimization
2. Through the integrated governance system of social media, community governance is more direct and flexible
3. Introduce the "deer hunting model" of game theory to strengthen the cooperation of participants and encourage common profit from the system
How does Talos work?
Users put their assets into Talos, and the funds are automatically allocated to multiple yield strategies on Arbitrum, and the AI model regularly evaluates the performance of the strategies and automatically rebalances their positions – the whole process takes place in the TEE to ensure that there is no human intervention.
Users can also participate in governance proposals through social media accounts with one click, and even entrust voting rights to trusted experts, a lightweight governance tool that enables more people to truly participate in decision-making.
If users pledge tokens to the strategy pool for a long time, the platform can more effectively optimize asset allocation and implement strategic financial management by using the deer hunting mechanism and dynamic annual interest rate management, so that users can obtain excellent returns and long-term value.
Why Talos?
Talos is a test of the depth of Arbitrum's application layer and an answer to "on-chain native innovation" by Onchain Labs, powered by @EmpyrealSDK, and its constituent elements: AI, TEE, DeFi yield model, game theory mechanism, community governance, almost all of which require complex and systematic design and testing on-chain.
From another point of view, Talos also embodies a new direction of the Arbitrum application ecosystem: it is no longer a CEX replica, not a reincarnation of a liquid farm, but an attempt to reconstruct mechanisms and technologies based on the native attributes of Layer 2.
It remains to be seen whether Talos will become a benchmark for the Arbitrum application ecosystem in the future, but it has provided us with a new narrative template.

Arbitrum One mainnet overview
When I first entered the circle, every time I heard "Rollup", "L2", and "Sequencer", my head was about to get knotted.
It wasn't until I actually experienced the @arbitrum mainnet once, that I felt the amazing feeling of "L2 is already so smooth" that I completely understood why it has become one of the number one trump cards in Ethereum scaling.
Today, let's talk about the @arbitrum_cn in my eyes
☆¤·. ¸¸.· ´¯·. ̧ ̧.¤☆๑ Here is the dividing line๑☆¤·. ¸¸.· ´¯·. ¸¸.¤☆
What is Arbitrum One?
It is the earliest and most mature mainnet chain in the Arbitrum ecosystem, built on Ethereum, and uses Optimistic Rollup technology to package transactions and settle them back to Ethereum in a unified manner, thus achieving a three-in-one effect of low cost + high throughput + secure inheritance.
Unlike ordinary L2s, which are still in the run-in period, Arbitrum One is already a "seasoned worker" - with stable infrastructure, good compatibility, TVL, number of DApps, and number of users are all No. 1 in L2.

What experience touched me the most?
Two words: silky.
The wallet cuts the Arbitrum One network and uses MetaMask as well.
The interaction is like using the Ethereum mainnet, but the handling fee is often only a few cents, and the transaction confirmation is very fast.
Whether it's making money, playing DEX, minting NFTs, or swiping SocialFi, I don't feel like "this is a Layer2" at all, more like a smarter Layer1 - you can do anything, but the cost is low and the experience is fast.

What is the magic underlying the technology?
Behind Arbitrum One is a unique set of "Arbitrum Nitro" architectures:
Optimistic Rollup mechanism: Assume that the transaction is valid first and only verify it when someone challenges it, saving a lot of resources.
AnyTrust DAC (Data Availability Committee): Ensures that off-chain data is always retrievable and secure.
WASM-compatible virtual machine + Geth overwrite runtime: more efficient, more compatible, and lighter.
The presence of the Sequencer layer also greatly improves the TPS and user experience.
In short, Arbitrum One is currently the closest L2 to the "Ethereum Faith + Web2 User Experience" combination.

To what extent is ecological prosperity?
Just to name a few items you've probably heard of:
GMX (Perpetual Trading Leader), Radiant Capital (Lending Protocol), TreasureDAO (Chain Game Aggregator), Dopex, Camelot, Pendle, Rari, Vela, Cap, Plutus, Jones DAO......
There are also meme projects that have been wildly active recently, such as $Degen, $ARBKek, $PepeAI, etc., which are not inferior to Solana at all.
The ecology is not only rich, but also lively, and the atmosphere of Arbitrum is really appetizing.

About $ARB Airfare and Governance
The $ARB airdrop in 2023 once detonated the entire network, and now the entire governance system is gradually maturing. Arbitrum DAO is already one of the most active on-chain governance organizations with the largest TVL.
Recent Grants Program, game track support, and new incentive proposals continue to strengthen Arbitrum One's ecological flywheel.
I have also been paying attention to the linkage between ARB tokens in governance rights and ecological growth - this is not a token that sells air, but a carrier of participation and "builder power".

Why do I have a long-term love for Arbitrum One?
Among many L2s, Arbitrum One is one of the few all-rounders that achieves technological maturity, ecological prosperity, user-friendly user experience, and active governance.
It doesn't need to rely on short-term narrative hype because the underlying logic stands firm. It's also not like some L2s that rely on VCs to spend money to maintain their popularity, and it really attracts developers, users, and long-termists.
If you haven't experienced Arbitrum One yet, it's definitely worth your time to experience it for yourself.
In the next issue, I can write about the exploration of new Arbitrum technologies such as Orbit fork, Stylus VM, and Blast bridge, so remember to follow me if you are interested.
Welcome to share your favorite DApp projects on Arbitrum One, and I've been wanting to discover some niche treasures lately!
