Essentially, #SEAL allows you to encrypt data and store it anywhere, while also serving as the native data security layer for #Walrus. You can set access rules directly on-chain, defining who can decrypt this data and when. You can also use SEAL to set time locks.
SEAL relies on threshold cryptography and identity-based encryption methods, so no single party can hold all the keys. As a result, you gain end-to-end encryption, programmable access control, and there is no single point of failure in the system.
