여러분들은 신규 프로젝트를 볼 때 무엇을 가장 중요시 하나요?
블록체인이란 분야는 마법처럼 무에서 유를 창조하는 기술이라기보다는, 기존의 현실적인 문제들을 더 효율적으로 해결하는 도구에 가깝다고 생각합니다
그러다보니 가끔 블록체인을 위해(토큰을 내기위해) 억지로 만들어진 불편을 개선하거나, 억지 이유를 내세우는 프로젝트들이 많아졌죠.
저는 프로젝트가 '무엇을 해결하려 하는가' 를 우선으로 보고 인상이 정해지는 것 같습니다.
그래서 늘 하던대로 @SonicLabs 가 무엇을 해결하려 하는지 아주 간단히 찾아보았습니다.
현재 상황을 보면 이더리움은 안전하지만 너무 느리고, 다른 EVM 체인들도 여전히 아쉬운 성능을 보여줍니다.
게다가 개발자들이 앱을 만들어도 가스비는 검증자들이 다 가져가죠.
SONIC은 400,000 TPS와 1초 미만 최종성으로 문제를 해결하고(단골메뉴가 등장했네요 ㅋㅋㅋ)
Fee Monetization 시스템으로 개발자가 자신의 앱에서 발생하는 가스비의 90%를 가져갈 수 있게 합니다.
(개발자 중심의 블록체인 생태계 구축을 목표로 한다는 접근은 조금 새로운 점 같습니다. 아닌가? 본것같기도..)
또 보안을 위한 장치를 탑재 시킨 자체 브리지 등등..
늘 먹던 맛으로 TPS를 내세운 L1 체인이라고 할수 있지만. 실제 사용성, 생태계와 확장 측면을 더 봐야 매력에 빠질 수 있을 것 같습니다.
(수많은 체인들이 하지만 빨랐죠로 조롱당하던 시절이 떠오르네요)
