Recently we have seen a large narrative around Ripple executives, Chris Larson and Brad Garlinghouse selling $XRP. Whilst this is true, to me this is no different than what we see from the other major players in the market. If you're easily offended, look away now. $BTC - Although no ICO was conducted, mining is massively inefficient on realistic terms. This is why miners sell their $BTC, they have to in order to fund their operation. You cannot mine an asset (even if it increases in unrealised value) and not sell it when you have bills to pay. $ETH - Ethereum conducted a huge ICO. They essentially raised for $ETH by asking for $BTC, the equivalent price of $1 per $ETH. Did you manage to get in here or are you their exit liquidity? They had a cap on what whales could buy. However, we have recordings of Joseph Lubin showing whales how to mask their identity to be able to get around the cap (probably people like JPM, I can't prove that but highly probable based on what people have found). On top of this, the $ETH foundation routinely 'distribute' Ethereum. All on chain, go check it out. $SOL - Also conducted an ICO, multiple raises to VCs, did you get in on this? Unlocks are still occurring now. They also pay entities to promote $SOL such as superteams via the Solana Foundation. Additionally, FTX collapse probably left a lot of $SOL to be bought at a discount following the collapse. I find it strange that $SOL rallied from $8-200 during the bear market and mainly with volume driven by meme coin trading.. I know this will get a lot of people angry, but the above is true. If I'm wrong please explain, I'm happy to listen. The point of this post isn't to say anyone else is awful, it's just to say all the majors play the same game one way or another. Don't let the timeline convince you $XRP is awful. Maybe look at who is saying what and why they might be saying it. I have a bias towards $XRP as a holder, just like people in other ecosystems do towards the assets they hold. It's not wrong but there is no need to play the moral highground when we're all in the same boat.
