You can say a lot about @Polkadot, but you can’t talk down their marketing🥷✝️ In the first half of 2024, they spent $87M from the treasury, and $37M of that went just to marketing. $6.8M for an Inter Miami sponsorship, nearly $5M on influencers, and even $180K on private jet branding. By mid-year, everyone was roasting them, but as it turns out, they were wrong. By the end of 2024, spending had hit $133M (about 19.9M DOT), but the treasury still held $211M, with $157M liquid and $42M set aside for strategic projects. They also put in place an inflation model guaranteeing 18M DOT every year, basically locking in a decade-long runway. By Q1 2025, the numbers proved it. The treasury held 33.5M DOT (~$135M), almost no liabilities, and even a net profit of 80K DOT after expenses. Outreach was still the biggest cost at $7.5M, followed by $5.6M for development and $2.1M for ops. April saw a small dip of 101K DOT from low fees and volatility, but with guaranteed inflows and deep reserves, @Polkadot isn’t anywhere near running dry.
