$DOLO The Dark Horse heading for the top of the ⛰️
A short 🧵 on conviction and belief.
1. I'm on my nth cycle, and conviction and belief has become an even rarer occurrence than a day online without a Trump meme.
But never have I seen a more perfect alignment to make the decision to stick my metaphorical 🍆 and ⚽️⚽️ on the chopping block.
2. @Dolomite_io was forged within the depth of the last bear market by @CoreyCaplan3 and @adam_knuckey .
Their vision was simple and elegant, the next iteration of DeFi, Dolomite would be to Aave what emails were to snailmail.
But vision weighs little in this industry.
3. What made it really click for me was the sincerity that those guys came up with.
It was like talking to mormon girls after scavenging the nightclubs of Soho after 5 years.
I had lost my faith in the industry that had become rife with grifters and mercenaries.
4. I run a PE desk IRL, and god do I see some STD ridden w****s and snakesoil salesmen.
The vibes were completely off the charts coming from @CoreyCaplan3.
I took a gamble and seeded, out of curiosity.
5. Then I joined the TG with the other early stage investors.
For the last 3 years, it was the only TG that I checked on a daily basis and the only one that I'd trust and pay attention to.
Never had I been in a project where the investors were here to fix shit and grow the project and not make a quick buck.
7. Had I been younger, hungrier and broke, I'd probably have begged @CoreyCaplan3 for a job.
But for old men like me, just being able to buy a ticket to the show is good enough.
That and slamming a full Lambo into $DOLO.
