Worth noting: @sgoldfed specifically mentioned Arbitrum Stylus as being a selling point for Robinhood.
The underlying EVM familiarity will still take place, but there is a world where the majority of the actual dev work is done in a number of languages outside of solidity.
Thinking about the Robinhood L2 dynamic a little more on my walk…
An under-appreciated aspect of the Robinhood chain is that Robinhood will now operate and maintain an EVM-equivalent network.
The most bullish thing about Ethereum are its network effects.
Robinhood now pays in engineers to become versed in the EVM and broad Ethereum specifications.
This is analogous to when Apple taught the Chinese how to make iPhones and basically educated all of China on competent manufacturing.
Compare this to alt-L1s with no specification and are difficult to work with, the only reasonable standard that TradFi can adopt is the EVM.
