I actually went to the BTT forum and looked at the story.
Identified as true.
First of all, this guy goes by the screen name John Galt, and he paid $500 for a physical version of 100 bitcoins in 2012.
The so-called physical version is made by a company called Casascius, and it is made by printing the [private key] directly on an opaque honeycomb pattern sticker, and then pasting it backwards onto a metal back.
Legendarily, John wanted to sell Bitcoin when it broke through $1w but held back, and didn't take it out until it reached $10w in May this year.
5→10W, 20,000x 🫡.
Only a real Holder can hold it, and of course, physical Bitcoin helps a real Holder, even better than a cold wallet.
---- Dividing Line----
Also, a few more interesting things that I found.
1. Forked coins
Since this is the Bitcoin address from 2012, John shows the discarded private key after taking the Bitcoin.
Others on the forum instantly stole 4w USD worth of $BCH, because in 2017 all bitcoins could receive the same amount of BCH as well as other forked coins.
2. Security
If I were John, I would have a hard time trusting this kind of sticker, after all, if the sticker is printed, it means that someone else has seen your private key. It can only show that this company is indeed morally noble.
Many companies don't care about $500. However, not all companies can maintain a high level of ethics for $10 million.
3. Is this a gold bar?
It looks like a gold bar, but in fact, considering the selling price, as well as the business of Casascius that I investigated, it is likely to be alloy bar + gold-plated, so its value is limited, but it is quite collectible.
4. Why is this true?
Because the original Po showed his discarded private key, everyone can manually enter the wallet, and you can go to the blockchain browser to verify, which is a real evidence that cannot be faked.
Only Bitcoin can create such a legend.

This dude bought a 100 BTC Casascius gold bar for $500 in 2011
Only this year did the seed words be cashed in
Cash in $10 million in one go
A full 2,000 times the rate of return
This is the legendary collection 😱 of real Bitcoin history
