The FBI recently coordinated the arrest of Kai West (a British citizen), known as IntelBroker, who is accused of hacking and selling stolen data from over 40 organizations. In January 2023, an undercover FBI agent posed as a buyer and transferred $250 in $BTC to purchase the data, and West agreed to the transaction → Thanks to blockchain analysis, the FBI traced his true identity even though the hacker primarily accepted payments in Monero ($XMR).
