《How to Objectively View Kaito's Yap Rankings》 This morning, I saw many bloggers on Twitter dissing @KaitoAI. As someone who is ranked first on the Yaps Chinese leaderboard and has some research on Kaito and SocialFi, I’d like to share my thoughts. First, the conclusion: Yaps leaderboard ≠ Influence leaderboard Kaito ≠ A perfect SocialFi, but it’s the most promising one I’ve seen so far. I can totally understand the feelings of the bloggers who are dissing it. It’s like when a ranking of martial arts experts is published, and the experts think, "If I’m not on it, there must be something wrong." I’d feel the same way 😂😂😂. Previously, I’ve seen some domestic media publish KOL rankings, and not only was I not on them, but there were also some KOLs I’d never heard of. I felt the same way 😮‍💨. That’s why I never emphasize my ranking in Kaito’s Chinese community, nor do I take pride in it. It’s just a "byproduct" of my daily output being recorded and scored, not a goal I actively pursue. I know this leaderboard can only serve as a reference for POW and influence from one perspective, and it’s not absolutely objective or fair—it has its limitations. There are many excellent KOLs who, for various reasons, are not at the top of the leaderboard. But that doesn’t mean their influence and value aren’t at the top in my mind, such as @0xcryptowizard, @BTCdayu, @dotyyds1234, @0x0xFeng, @daidaibtc, @xiaomucrypto, etc. Now, let’s talk about the value of @KaitoAI. First of all, I’ve always kept a close eye on the SocialFi sector. I’ve tried most of the well-known SocialFi projects on the market. Objectively speaking, @KaitoAI is the most grounded and practically valuable product I’ve encountered so far. Is FriendTech impressive? As a Ponzi scheme, I think it’s impressive and has made a lot of people money. But no matter how profitable it is, it’s just a scheme distributing tokens under the guise of SocialFi. A Ponzi scheme being well-known and profitable ≠ A good, valuable product. After a period of activity where people were buying keys from each other, I felt it would fail, and it eventually did. Since then, I’ve been very cautious about SocialFi projects similar to "KOL praise groups," such as the recently hyped @ethos_network. @ZKSgu has been inviting me for a long time, and I only seriously tried it yesterday. For now, I still don’t find it appealing. It’s still in the realm of a small group of people hyping each other up, and large-scale adoption and impact are difficult. The team needs to keep building. One advantage of @KaitoAI is that it can seamlessly integrate into daily workflows without requiring extra effort to "manage." It adopts a method that works alongside Twitter, which currently seems to be the only viable SocialFi path. Projects that try to create a new platform requiring extra time and effort to manage have all failed or are close to failing (e.g., Lens and Farcast). Additionally, for top-tier bloggers, @KaitoAI doesn’t have much impact. First-tier KOLs already have consensus influence within the community, spread by word of mouth, and don’t need a leaderboard to prove it (so there’s no need to worry). But for a large number of mid-tier bloggers, Kaito does provide an "entry point to be seen," especially in collaborations and project discovery. It offers more quantifiable exposure opportunities and forms a value loop. Among current projects in the same sector, I haven’t seen any other successful ones. Its points mechanism encourages high-frequency output, which benefits accounts like mine that update frequently (crypto workhorses personified 🤣🤣). But I also respect those low-frequency bloggers who are strong in niche areas and have far-reaching influence—their value often cannot be captured by simple data structures. To summarize: Kaito is not perfect, and there’s no need to overly trust the authority of the Yap leaderboard. Once a system is in place, people farming Yap for the sake of farming Yap will continuously lower the value of the leaderboard. However, Kaito is also the most grounded and viable SocialFi practice I’ve seen so far. I’m very curious to see if it can truly realize the slogan "Yap = Currency" in the future. If it does, it will have taken a truly meaningful step in SocialFi. So, let’s move forward with inclusivity. The crypto world is already full of schemes, and there are few grounded projects. I’m willing to give them more patience 😁. @Punk9277
