It’s been interesting to watch the trajectory of fartcoin play out over the last few months.
I bought it at 70k, shared it around because I thought it was funny - didn't expect miracles.
I flagged it as: “Sharing this for reference on what I usually look for in a coin” / “don’t expect this to be generational wealth.”
I never expected it to do what it did -no chance- but I did think it would do well because it passed the sniff test.
It was funny, counter-meta, had a good ticker, and just the thought of explaining how you made money on it was hilarious - which is the ultimate pub test for scalability.
I got a 200x. I was ecstatic. It was a great trade.
But I often think: "What if I’d been later?"
There’s this sweet spot in getting into a coin - where you're early, but not too early.
There’s a huge psychological difference between holding something from 70k to 70 million, versus 1 million to 1 billion.
The 70k coin is always a shitter - it can never feel amazing, because you got in so early that your perception is completely warped.
A 1 million market cap coin is speculation. It’s already run a bit, consolidated, and now you can speculate on it being something more.
Not many people talk about this aspect of being too early - but it’s a real phenomenon in this space.
Your psychological attachment to a coin is largely based on your entry. That’s why you DCA on the way up - if you start to believe.
You might wish you were early - but if you can’t mentally position your bag as more than just the amount you're up, you might actually be more profitable getting in late.
