TL;DR Side Chain, a Bitcoin appchain, has two major products set to receive upgrades in the upcoming Mainnet Beta: • sBTC — our FROST-based Bitcoin bridge • Native BTC lending, powered by DLCs (new) For sBTC, we’re introducing two new features: • Key Refresh: enables updating the signer set without changing the Bitcoin vault address • Routing: Side Chain acts as a relay layer, auto-forwarding BTC tokens across chains (e.g. Ethereum, Cosmos Hub, Osmosis) with no manual hops I’ll share more details on Routing in the next article, and there’s much more to come on our native BTC lending protocol as well.
