last summer i launched a stealth solana shitter on pump fun called @robbossinc. 🎨 $ross it was a noble effort. it was largely inspired by the netflix documentary, bob ross: happy accidents, betrayal & greed. 🔗: i come from nft culture, where the intention was to build something with impact. i wanted to bring some semblance of justice to the ross family. i’m old now. i have slowly learned that our communities have turned into money hungry monsters, that will do anything to literally make a quick buck. we are dictated by kols and whales that create a pulse of virality, and finance a blip on the chart. now, memecoins seem to be the new collectible “nft” of this cycle, but the culture is entirely about financial gains. i am not equipped for this. the best memes are those with deep culture/community, then eventual utility, but majority of these tokens are vapor. on ronin i’ve seen pvp for literal dollars! no one believes in anything anymore, and straight crime is covering the timeline. i have done better for myself and family, more than i ever imagined, but it was never my goal. i wanted to do things that i thought were interesting, experimental, and share it with likeminded people. to do what i’ve done has been the most beautiful freedom in the world. i’ve made a living dreaming. i’m guilty of being a money monster myself these days. i find myself laboring over the charts, having panic attacks about the what ifs. the ptsd from the 2021/2022 bubble will be written about in medical journals. the freedom i secured, and then lost, was generational shifting. trying to claw that back is a miserable existence. it’s time to make peace with the past and show gratitude for what is here now. it’s time to get creative again. and then it’s time to say goodbye. what’s that famous bob ross quote? “i was there. i did my part” -ross
