This past year on the Intersect Board has been a journey unlike any other. We were tasked with discovering how governance on Cardano could work while walking a path no one had mapped before. At times, the way forward wasn’t clear, pivots were necessary, and no one could say with certainty what was “right” or “wrong.” But through it all, one thing remained constant: listening to the community and learning together. From expanding Intersect’s presence through hubs to hosting education, workshops, and events that brought governance closer to people to amplifying Cardano’s voice in new regions, we’ve made real strides. I was also privileged to take this message directly to the Head of State in Sri Lanka, presenting Intersect’s development report to the President and speaking on how decentralized governance can help nations achieve accountability, efficiency, and productivity through blockchain ecosystems like Cardano. One of my greatest privileges as an active participant in the Cardano ecosystem has always been to meet, interact, and learn from so many people across this ecosystem, and one thing has always clear: there is no community like the Cardano community. The passion, the persistence, and the belief that together we can build something bigger than ourselves, gives me hope for Cardano and for the future. Listening to these voices has shaped my own perspective of the world. That’s what i believe Intersect is at its core, not just a name, but an Intersection point. A place where diverse paths meet, where different ideas collide, and where a common direction is forged. Not perfect, not always easy but real and authentic. The work done in this first phase was about building foundations and discovering pathways. The next chapter, I believe, must be about refinement, strengthening accountability, making processes more efficient, and ensuring Intersect continues to serve as a true facilitator for a community-led future.
